"1,000,000 Bombs Before"
An exhibition by the Ukrainian photographer Vlad Vasylkevych, the winner of the Siena Drone Photo Awards 2024 and IPPAWARDS 2017
The exhibition presenting Vlad Vasylkevych's book "1,000,000 Bombs Before" addresses the urgent need to preserve the memory of Ukraine's beauty BEFORE the devastation of russia's full-scale invasion.
The large-scale photographic displays of Ukraine’s landscapes from various regions serve to raise awareness about the need to preserve Ukraine’s cultural and physical landscapes, now at risk due to war.
Goal: 100 books and 10,000 NZD
This exhibition aims to mobilize support for the reconstruction by showing people the splendor of Ukrainian landscapes.
Specific activities include local fundraising, media campaigns, and community engagement through discussions on cultural preservation are planned.
Proceeds from the book, exhibition auction and donations support UNITED24's Rebuild Ukraine program, funding post-war restoration of Ukraine’s infrastructure, homes, and cultural landmarks.
